The Greater Miami Symphonic Band began in 1979. Since the first rehearsal with forty-five musicians of diverse backgrounds and musical abilities, the Band has grown to a present membership of approximately eighty-five. The Greater Miami Symphonic Band is a community concert band comprised of volunteer musicians with diverse professional backgrounds and musical abilities.

The Miami Military Museum & Memorial exists to preserve the rich military heritage of south Florida, and to educating the young about the service, sacrifices and accomplishments of our Armed Forces and Veterans. We welcome the entire community; black, white, hispanic; young and old alike. We have been designated a Historic Building of National Significance by the National Park Service. We are the only surviving building from the Richmond Navy Base of World War II.
