Crandon Golf at Key Biscayne is a championship 18-hole golf course located on the island paradise of Key Biscayne, just 10 minutes from downtown Miami. Crandon Golf is an explosion of color and light surrounded by water, mangroves and lush, tropical foliage. Secluded and inviting, Crandon is the only public golf course on Biscayne Bay.
Crandon was the site of the Senior PGA Tour for 18 years, attracting golf’s greats including Lee Trevino and Gary Player. The course is considered one of the most beautiful and difficult par-72 courses in the state of Florida. The course has been rated in the top ten courses by Golfweek, and one of America’s top 75 upscale courses by Golf Digest.
Crandon Golf at Key Biscayne is, in many ways, Miami’s signature golf course. Experience Miami, Conquer Crandon.
Palmetto Golf Course is a Par-70 Championship Miami course, built on 121 acres, running parallel to US-1, south of SW 152nd Street. The 18-hole course, designed by Dick Wilson and built in 1959 by developers Porter, Russell and Wagor, was purchased by Miami-Dade County in 1967.
This facility has a serpentine canal system that flows across and alongside tree-lined fairways, making this an attractive, as well as challenging course to play. The golf course also offers a 22-position, lighted driving range, lighted putting green, a spacious clubhouse and a fully-stocked golf shop. Equipment rentals are available. Golf lessons, clinics, and junior golf camps are offered by Crandon Golf Academy.
Lunch, refreshments and dinner are served at the on-site Sports Grill.
Country Club of Miami is comprised of two beautifully manicured golf courses, with lush fairways, and 36 championship holes. A Robert Trent Jones design, the club was founded in 1961, with Arnold Palmer as its first professional. Jack Nicklaus played his first professional tournament and Lee Trevino won his fourth professional title at the club.
The West Course, a 7,017-yard par-72 course with a slope of 132, hosted the 1991 Senior PGA Tour National Qualifying School. The treacherous bunkers, lush fairways, and rolling greens offer a challenging adventure. The East Course, a 6,353-yard par-70 layout with a slope of 124, requires shot placement and strategy from both the novice and experienced golfer.
A grass driving range, large pitching, putting and chipping areas and PGA instructors assist golfers in developing their games.
The clubhouse at Country Club of Miami houses a spacious banquet space and The Club, an attractive bar with dining area.
Briar Bay Golf Course is a par-31 Executive Golf Course, built on thirty acres, eight blocks west of US 1, north of SW 136th Street. Designed by Bruce Devlin and Robert Von Hagge, and built in 1974 by Real Estate Developer Alec Courtelis, it opened for play in January of 1975. The Parks Department acquired Briar Bay in 1979 and has operated it since that time. The course ambles west, north, east, west, south and finally east again as it winds its way back to the clubhouse.
Briar Bay Golf Course has over forty thousand rounds of golf played each year. It is popular with top players and beginners alike, offering something for everyone.
Greynolds Golf Course provides a 3,100-yard challenging layout. This par-36 course, designed by Mark Mahannah in 1964, is one of the county’s most popular nine-hole designs for all levels of play. The course offers electric carts, reasonable green fees, and club rentals.
Greynolds also has a 9-hole FootGolf course.
A spacious clubhouse welcomes players to relax before and after matches. Friendly golf shop staff assist players with tee times, rental equipment and merchandise.
